It all started when Michael A Civin, Ph.D received his A.B. Degree cum Laude from Harvard in 1968. A couple years later, he had attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine for a time and earned what would turn out to be his first Master of Arts degree from the University of Oregon. Years later, in 1986, he earned his second M.A., this time in Clinical Psychology from the Gordon F. Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies at Adelphi University. Adelphi also awarded him his Ph.D. in 1988.
Obviously, Dr. Michael A Civin, Ph.D is certainly highly educated. Also in 1988, Dr. Michael A Civin, Ph.D received a medical degree from the Pennsylvania Institute Of Straight Chiropractic and he later completed a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy in 1993. He has also helped others get their education, including turns as a professor, faculty member, and associate professor at several institutions of higher learning and his writing has been published many times, in the form of journal articles and book chapters.

Obviously, Dr. Michael Civin has always considered education to be a major key to everything in his psychology profession. He has always sought to pursue a full education in psychology and he has spent plenty of time in the academic world, as well as in private practice. At various times, he has served as a full professor, associate professor, or even as a faculty member in a number of institutions of higher learning. A great many of his scholarly articles have been published in medical journals and as chapters in very important books on psychology.
These days, Dr. Michael Civin works as a clinical psychologist with nearly 30 years' experience as a doctor under his belt. He currently serves as a senior psychologist at Rose Hill Psychological Services in the Bronx, in New York City, a firm he co-founded in 2008. While he primarily works from Rose Hill, he also runs a private practice in other parts of New York City, including Manhattan, Astoria, and Bayville, which he has done since 2007.
